Softball Recap: American Takes a Loss

American was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 13-1 to the Kennedy Titans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

American's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Kennedy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. American will challenge rival Moreau Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kennedy is set to square off against their familiar foe Newark Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 3.9, the Cougars 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
