Soccer Recap: Valley Comes Up Short

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holtville Bulldogs. Valley were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Holtville earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Valley's goal came courtesy of Santiago Diaz, who's now up to seven this season.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Holtville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7-1.

Valley and Holtville will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time Valley sees the pitch they'll take on Eufaula at 7:00 p.m. on April 1. As for Holtville, their break will end when they face Booker T. Washington Magnet at 7:00 p.m. on April 1.
