Baseball Recap: Coweta Gets the Win

Coweta lost to Charles Page back in March of 2018, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Sandites 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Alex Crawford looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Coweta is 6-1 when Crawford allows two or fewer earned runs, but 12-13 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Brayden Floyd was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Sutter Winsworth was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Coweta's win bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Charles Page, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coweta will square off against Pryor at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Charles Page, they will face off against Sapulpa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chieftains' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Sandites' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
