Football Recap: Clay-Chalkville Beats Jackson-Olin for Their 11th Straight Victory + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Clay-Chalkville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 49-26 margin over the Jackson-Olin Mustangs on Thursday. Considering the Cougars have won ten games by more than 22 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading Clay-Chalkville to victory were Joshua Woods and Aaron Frye. Woods rushed for 97 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, while Frye threw for 155 yards and three TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes.

Another reason for the win was Clay-Chalkville's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They got some further help from Isaiah Brown: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles.

Despite the loss, Jackson-Olin still got an impressive performance from Fredrick Reese, who picked up 69 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

The victory keeps Clay-Chalkville at an undefeated 11-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.4 points on average this season. As for Jackson-Olin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
