Volleyball Recap: Sky View Falls Despite Big Games from Abby Thatcher and Kinsley Stevens

Sky View was the 3-0 winner over Mountain Crest when they last played one another on September 2nd, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats fell 3-1 to the Mustangs on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Sky View had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23, 16-25, 25-20.

Sky View's loss came despite strong showings from Kinsley Stevens and Abby Thatcher. Stevens had 15 assists and three digs, while Thatcher had five digs and two aces. Stevens is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Sky View's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Mountain Crest, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.
