Baseball Game Preview: Shamokin Area Indians vs. Shikellamy Braves

Shamokin Area is 2-8 against Shikellamy since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Indians will head out to challenge the Braves at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Shamokin Area might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-1 to Williamsport, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Shikellamy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to Central Mountain.

Shikellamy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Shamokin Area, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Shamokin Area suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Shikellamy when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
