Preview: Indian Springs Thunderbirds vs. Beatty Hornets

The Indian Springs Thunderbirds will head out on the road to face off against the Beatty Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Indian Springs has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 29.

Last Friday, Indian Springs ended up a good deal behind Tonopah and lost 47-33. That's two games in a row now that Indian Springs has lost by exactly 14 points.

Despite their defeat, Indian Springs saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jacob Gourley, who scored 16 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Vance Dilger, who scored 12 points.

Beatty suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. Their tough 47-25 defeat to Spring Mountain might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Beatty has suffered against Spring Mountain since February 3, 2015.

Indian Springs' defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for Beatty, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 1-9.

Indian Springs skirted past Beatty 39-36 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Indian Springs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
