Basketball Recap: Illinois Math & Science Academy Comes Up Short

Illinois Math & Science Academy lost against Aurora Central Catholic back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Illinois Math & Science Academy Titans were beaten by the Aurora Central Catholic Chargers 62-32. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 634th, while the Chargers are ranked 36th).

Illinois Math & Science Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Aurora Central Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.

Coming up, Illinois Math & Science Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Fenton at 5:00 p.m. Aurora Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
