Football Recap: Marco Castro Leads Roybal's Defense on Friday

The Roybal Titans came up short against the George Washington Prep Generals on Friday and fell 20-8.

When it comes to explaining why Roybal lost, don't look at Isaac Hinson. Despite the final result, he picked up 95 receiving yards and one score.

Even if they lost, Roybal's defense still kept up the pressure with six sacks. Marco Castro was especially locked on to George Washington Prep's QB and sacked him twice. Castro also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine.

Roybal now has a losing record of 2-3. As for George Washington Prep, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roybal will take on Mendez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will be up against the Jaguars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.4 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for George Washington Prep, they will face off against Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Generals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
