Volleyball Recap: Brawley Comes Up Short

Brawley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Calexico Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss two weeks ago.

Jose Pablo Reyna was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 27 assists and three digs. That's the most assists he has posted over his last four matches.

Brawley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Calexico, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Brawley will square off against Sweetwater at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Sweetwater will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Brawley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Calexico, they will challenge O'Farrell Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calexico is facing O'Farrell Charter at the right time seeing as O'Farrell Charter is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
