 It was a good run, but  Tombstone unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 13-3 walloping at the hands of the Tanque Verde Hawks. Tombstone has struggled against Tanque Verde recently, as their  game on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Tombstone saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  DJ Elias, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Brody Franklin, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-2.
 On Tanque Verde's side,  Payson Lee was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits (and not a single walk). Lee was even better at the plate,  going 4-for-4 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Mylo Gallego, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Dylan Lewis, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Tombstone's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Tanque Verde, their victory was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 10-5-1.
 Tombstone will head out on the road to  take on  Valley Union at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. Tombstone is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.9  runs per game this season. As for Tanque Verde, they will head out on the road to  face off against  San Miguel at 5:45  p.m.  on Friday. Tanque Verde is facing San Miguel at the right time seeing as San Miguel is stuck on  a  ten-game losing streak.
