Baseball Recap: Pinelands Regional Takes a Loss

Pinelands Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Toms River South Indians. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 11-3 to the Indians when the teams met back in May of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pinelands Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Toms River South, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Pinelands Regional wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-3 loss against Freehold Boro on the 19th. Hopefully Toms River South paid attention to the Wildcats' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Wildcats at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
