Baseball Recap: Washington Triumphs

Washington won the last time they faced Geneseo and things went their way on Saturday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Maple Leafs by a score of 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Gavin Lawrence spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carter Prina, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Eli Roedell, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Washington's victory bumped their record up to 26-10. As for Geneseo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-20.

As of now, neither Washington nor the Maple Leafs have any future games scheduled.
