Washington won the last time they faced Owensville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bluejays blew past the Dutchmen 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bluejays.

While Washington won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-22, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Mya Buhr and Brooke Stellhorn, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Alyson Paule and her 23 assists. Adriana Grassi controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Owensville's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jenna Hoffmann, who had 12 digs and one assist. Hoffmann has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Clara Julius, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Washington's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Owensville, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Washington has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Fort Zumwalt South on the 4th. As for Owensville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Cuba on the 6th.
