Football Recap: Mill Creek Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Anderson Ragone and Devin Hamilton + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mill Creek can now relate to. They took a 35-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colquitt County Packers on Friday. The Hawks have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Despite the defeat, Mill Creek had strong showings from Devin Hamilton, who picked up 80 receiving yards and two scores, and Anderson Ragone, who threw for 231 yards and a pair of TDs. A healthy portion of that aerial production (92 yards to be exact) also went to Carson Hurter.

It was another big night for Jae Lamar, who rushed for 162 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries for Colquitt County. With that strong performance, Lamar is now averaging an impressive 102.4 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Antwan Lockett, who picked up 123 receiving yards and one TD.

Mill Creek's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Colquitt County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Mill Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Colquitt County, they will face off against Grayson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Packers will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight contests.
