Mathews entered their tilt with King William on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the King William Cavaliers by a score of 38-29. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-23 back in December of 2024.

Mathews pushed their record up to 8-14 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.0 points over those games. As for King William, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Looking ahead, Mathews won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. King William does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
