Softball Recap: Westhill Takes a Loss

Westhill fell victim to Christian Brothers Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brothers. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Samantha Snyder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

Westhill's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westhill is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Mexico at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Christian Brothers Academy, they will take on Liverpool at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
