Baseball Recap: Hermitage Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Hermitage took on Deep Run on Friday. The Panthers came up short against the Wildcats, falling 12-2. The Panthers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Hermitage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Wharton, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Wharton has brought in this season.

Hermitage's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Deep Run, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hermitage will head out to take on Patrick Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Deep Run, they will venture away from home to square off against Maggie Walker at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Deep Run will need to watch out since Maggie Walker has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
