Volleyball Recap: Norman Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Norman barely beat Deer Creek the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Antlers 3-0 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 two weeks ago.

Norman never let Deer Creek on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-21.

Olivia Carter paced Norman's offense, picking up nine kills. Carter got some help from Zoe Young and her 14 assists. Valyn Donahoo controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Norman is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Deer Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Norman will face off against rival Southmoore at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Deer Creek is set to challenge their familiar foe Yukon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
