Hesston had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Sabetha Bluejays 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Swathers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Tanner McAllister was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Jacob Burkholder was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.
Hesston's record now sits at 18-6. As for Sabetha, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.
As of now, neither Hesston nor the Bluejays have any future games scheduled.
