Baseball Recap: Century Wins Going Away Against Sherwood

Century had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Sherwood on Monday. The Jaguars blew past the Bowmen 8-1. The Jaguars not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 15, 2024.

Lucas Gardner was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Sawyer Hewett also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Century's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Sherwood, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bowmen beat Century by a score of 17-4 on Wednesday.
