Baseball Recap: Jasper Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Jasper waltzed into their game on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Forest Park Rangers. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rangers, too.

Jasper's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Forest Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Jasper and Forest Park should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 23rd) will meet South Spencer (ranked 183rd) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Forest Park will face off against Pike Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (147 vs. 309).
