Basketball Recap: Winston Extends Winning Streak to Three

Winston waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Union Star Trojans 59-33. The Red Birds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Winston is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Union Star, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Winston will be home for the holidays to greet Guadalupe Centers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Union Star, they are taking a road trip to face off against Cainsville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
