Soccer Game Preview: Oviedo vs. Edgewater

The Oviedo Lions will challenge the Edgewater Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oviedo's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Friday, neither Oviedo nor Freedom could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Oviedo's goal came courtesy of Ellison Ruffin, who's now up to 14 this season.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Edgewater rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Silverhawks as they made off with a 6-1 win. The Eagles' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

The victory got Edgewater back to even at 8-8-2. Oviedo's draw makes their record 10-3-3 this season.
