Baseball Game Preview: Sports Leadership & Management Bulls vs. Pahrump Valley Trojans

Sports Leadership & Management is 2-8 against Pahrump Valley since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bulls will face off against the Trojans at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Sports Leadership & Management's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Cimarron-Memorial as they made off with a 14-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulls in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won three in a row.

Talan Everett and Alex Garcia did most of the damage at the plate: Everett scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Garcia went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Garcia has become a key player for Sports Leadership & Management: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-9 otherwise. Jameson Murray was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Pahrump Valley made easy work of Sunrise Mountain on Thursday and carried off a 13-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Pahrump Valley got a massive performance out of Andrew Zurn, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Zurn has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Vinny Whitney, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one run.

Pahrump Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matches.

Sports Leadership & Management's record now sits at 8-10. As for Pahrump Valley, their record is now 14-5-1.

Sports Leadership & Management came out on top in a nail-biter against Pahrump Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Will the Bulls repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
