Soccer Game Preview: Nooksack Valley vs. Burlington-Edison

The Nooksack Valley Pioneers will take on the Burlington-Edison Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Nooksack Valley put up the most goals they have all season on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Mt. Baker. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Nooksack Valley's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Burlington-Edison kept a clean sheet against Blaine on Saturday. They blew past the Borderites 7-0. That seven goal margin sets a new team best for Burlington-Edison this season.

Nooksack Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Burlington-Edison, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-3.

Nooksack Valley might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Burlington-Edison when the teams last played back in April of 2022. Can the Pioneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
