Football Recap: Grand Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Grand Valley extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-9. They were beaten by the Meeker Cowboys 53-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 53-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Sawyer Ostermiller threw for 45 yards on eight of 14 attempts. On the ground, Erin Mattedi rushed for 32 yards.

As for Meeker, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The critical scores for Meeker came from Corbin Grant and Bryant Turner.

Grand Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Meeker, they will square off against Platte Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
