Baseball Recap: Calvary Baptist Academy Wins Going Away Against Quitman

Calvary Baptist Academy got themselves on the board against Quitman on Monday, but Quitman never followed suit. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over the Quitman Wolverines. That's more bragging rights for the Cavaliers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Calvary Baptist Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Gray, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Gray a new career-high. Brady Martinez was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Calvary Baptist Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Quitman, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Baptist Academy will take on Cedar Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Quitman, they will square off against Red River at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
