Recap: Hartford Central Tanagers vs. Fort Ann Cardinals

The Hartford Central Tanagers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 64-46 victory over Fort Ann on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hartford Central also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Ann lost, one person who can't be blamed is Javier Hernandez. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadynce Cutter, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.

Hartford Central's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Fort Ann, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hartford Central will take on the Golden Horde at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Granville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Tanagers in New York (the Golden Horde are ranked 331st, while the Tanagers are ranked 695th). Fort Ann will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th.
