Baseball Game Preview: South Iron Panthers vs. East Carter Redbirds

South Iron hasn't had much luck against East Carter recently, but that could start to change on Monday. South Iron will host East Carter at 4:30 p.m. South Iron has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for South Iron after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 15-2 to Potosi.

Meanwhile, East Carter got themselves on the board against Lesterville on Friday, but Lesterville never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Bearcats. The match marked the Redbirds' most dominant win of the season so far.

The victory made it two in a row for East Carter and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for South Iron, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.
