Recap: Westville Tigers vs. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils

It was a good run, but the Westville Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, falling 67-30. While losing is never fun, Westville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin is ranked 148th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Micah Stanford, who scored 20 points along with five assists and three steals. Keison Peoples was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six steals.

Westville's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westville will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Salt Fork at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Salt Fork is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they will head out on the road to square off against Watseka at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
