In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Jones County came out on top. They skirted past the Mary Persons Bulldogs 2-1. This was payback for the Greyhounds, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Jones County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-16, 15-8.

Jones County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Mary Persons, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-6.

Coming up, Jones County will head out to challenge Upson-Lee at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mary Persons, they will be playing at home against Pike County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
