Basketball Recap: McLain Science & Tech Comes Up Short

McLain Science & Tech fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Webster on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to the Webster Warriors. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Webster's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Terrance Franklin led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds gave Franklin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hondo Avington, who posted 11 points and three steals.

McLain Science & Tech is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8. As for Webster, their record now sits at 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McLain Science & Tech has already played their next matchup (against Cascia Hall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Webster will head out to challenge Pawhuska at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
