Volleyball Game Preview: New Caney Eagles vs. Sachse Mustangs

The New Caney Eagles will take on the Sachse Mustangs in a tournament on Thursday. The last three games New Caney has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, New Caney didn't have quite enough to beat Conroe and fell 3-2. The Eagles have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, New Caney sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 14-25, 28-26, 14-25, 15-8.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sachse, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Naaman Forest by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Sachse walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-20, 19-25, 26-24.

New Caney's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Sachse, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
