Basketball Recap: Tipton Piles Up the Points Against Kokomo Homeschool

Kokomo HomeSchool typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Tipton proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Kokomo HomeSchool Eagles 79-50. That 29 point margin sets a new team best for the Blue Devils this season.

Tipton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grady Carpenter, who dropped a triple-double on 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 14 assists. The contest was Carpenter's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Sam Quigley was another key player, going 7 for 14 on his way to 17 points and five assists.

The win (which was Tipton's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Kokomo HomeSchool, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-4.

Tipton and Carroll will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Tipton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Kokomo HomeSchool, they will challenge Living Water Homeschool at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kokomo HomeSchool is facing Living Water Homeschool at the right time seeing as Living Water Homeschool is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
