Volleyball Recap: Bucyrus Wins Going Away Against Northmor

Bucyrus hadn't done well against Northmor recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Redmen put the hurt on the Golden Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory. This was payback for the Redmen, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Bucyrus never let Northmor on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23, 25-21.

Peyton Fackler paced Bucyrus' offense, picking up 12 kills. Fackler got some help from Macie Hubble and her 17 assists. Hubble was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Northmor lost, don't look at Jillian Zeger. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and two assists. Zeger has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Bucyrus has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Northmor, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Bucyrus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Carey on the 23rd. As for Northmor, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Fredericktown on the 23rd.
