Baseball Recap: IMG Academy Silver Starts Season with Win at Home

IMG Academy Silver took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bell Creek Academy Panthers a 4-0 shutout.

Henry Britt looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lane Holley, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. JP Piles was another key player, going a perfect2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Bell Creek Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, IMG Academy Silver will square off against Canterbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bell Creek Academy, they will challenge Boca Ciega at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
