Avery Beals, Charleston's leading hitter, solidified her role on Tuesday. Beals wasn't messing around, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The contest was her third straight with at least one stolen base.

Even though Beals couldn't lead Charleston over Mattoon, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
