Football Game Preview: Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon Knights vs. St. Thomas More Sabers

For the first time this season, Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to square off against the St. Thomas More Sabers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon can't be too happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season away from home back in August. They were outmatched by Oblong and fell 43-6.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Thomas More). They claimed a resounding 68-6 victory over Hutsonville/Palestine.

Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon took a serious blow against St. Thomas More in their previous matchup back in August of 2023, falling 34-6. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Knights were down 20-0.
