Baseball Recap: Bolivar Central Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Bolivar Central finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Trinity Christian Academy Lions, falling 15-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Bolivar Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Kelly, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Kelly also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

The loss snapped Bolivar Central's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6-1 record. As for Trinity Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Bolivar Central by a score of 15-1 on Tuesday.
