Soccer Game Preview: Madison vs. Dyersburg

The Madison Mustangs will face off against the Dyersburg Trojans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Madison is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Peabody on Thursday as they made off with a 10-1 victory. Ava Torres was a massive factor in the win as she booted in six goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Dyersburg waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Rebels get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. Given Dyersburg's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Obion County are ranked 271st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Madison's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Dyersburg, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Madison took their victory against Dyersburg when the teams last played back in August of 2024 by a conclusive 6-2 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
