Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cairo). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Leon Lions 48-7. The result was nothing new for the Syrupmakers, who have now won four contests by 29 points or more so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Leon lost, don't look at Brice Cameron. Despite the final result, he picked up 92 receiving yards and one TD.

Cairo's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.0 points over those games. As for Leon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Cairo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-7 win against Monroe on the 10th. As for Leon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 35-6 victory against Marianna on the 10th.
