Softball Recap: Pecatonica's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Pecatonica came into Friday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the South Beloit Sobos by a score of 7-3 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Chloe Goodwin was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mylie Getter, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Pecatonica's record now sits at 7-13. As for South Beloit, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pecatonica will venture away from home to challenge Lena-Winslow at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for South Beloit, they will head out to take on Dakota at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
