Basketball Recap: Chester Takes a Loss

Chester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The match between them and the Eau Claire Shamrocks didn't end well, with the Chester Cyclones falling 39-24. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cyclones this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-42 on January 9th.

Leading Eau Claire to victory were Destinee Tiller and Syteria Bethel. Tiller posted 18 points and four steals, while Bethel dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards. The game was Tiller's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Chester's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Eau Claire, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Chester will face off against Mid-Carolina at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eau Claire, they will challenge Fairfield Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fairfield Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Eau Claire surely won't give up without a fight.
