Softball Recap: Hamilton Township Takes a Loss

Hamilton Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 20-2 to the Fairfield Union Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 14-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

A Keller was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Hamilton Township's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Fairfield Union, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-11.

Looking ahead, Hamilton Township will face off against New Albany at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Rangers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Fairfield Union, they will host Bloom-Carroll at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for the Falcons: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Bulldogs have snatched up eight consecutive wins on the road.
