Baseball Game Preview: Boscobel Bulldogs vs. Riverdale Chieftains

The Boscobel Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Riverdale Chieftains at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Boscobel's hitters haven't had much luck over their past five matchups, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Boscobel came up short against Darlington on Tuesday, falling 12-2.

Meanwhile, Riverdale fell victim to Iowa-Grant and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Chieftains were not able to get on the board.

Boscobel's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Riverdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Boscobel couldn't quite get it done against Riverdale when the teams last played back in April as they fell 6-1. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
