Pagosa Springs is a perfect 4-0 against Lake County since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pirates will venture away from home to face off against the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Bayfield. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Pagosa Springs were the better team in the second half.

They hit Bayfield with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Elizabeth Currier, Tatiana Monterroso, and Hailey Sams.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Lake County made sure to put some goals up on the board against Fort Lupton on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over the Bluedevils. Considering Lake County's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The victory got Pagosa Springs back to even at 3-3. As for Lake County, their record is now 2-4-2.

Everything went Pagosa Springs' way against Lake County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Pagosa Springs made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
