Liam Gordon put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April of 2024 on Thursday. He struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
