Volleyball Recap: Des Moines' Winning Streak Snapped at Ten Games

It was a good run, but Des Moines unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Roy/Mosquero Blue/Lady Blue by a score of 3-2. The Demons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue/Lady Blue earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Des Moines actually scored more points across those five sets (107-105), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 29-27, 26-24, 19-25, 15-6.

Des Moines' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 14-5. As for Roy/Mosquero, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Coincidentally, Des Moines and Roy/Mosquero will both be playing Maxwell the next time they take the court. The Demons will head out to face the Bears at 5:00 p.m. on November 3, while the Blue/Lady Blue will host them at 5:30 p.m. on November 6.
