A.L. Brown won the last time they faced Concord and things went their way on Friday too. The Wonders blew past the Spiders 38-3. The Wonders' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Leading A.L. Brown to victory were Lemar Grier and AJ Settles. Grier rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, while Settles rushed for 111 yards and one TD on only seven carries. Those 111 rushing yards gave Settles a new career-high.

The win got A.L. Brown back to even at 1-1. As for Concord, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A.L. Brown will head out to take on Mooresville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Concord, they will venture away from home to square off against North Gaston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
